Vimarn Kaew Village and Resort

At Vimarn Kaew we experienced the very best service we ever had. Staff were not only very friendly (as is mostly the case in Thailand) but absolutely went out of their way to fulfill our every wish, made little presents (to give but one example, they bought a painkiller cream to soothe my wife's bad foot), served little delicacies by the poolside .... Our pool villa was very spacious and comfortable. Everything was calm and relaxing. So, this resort is highly recommend if the location suits your needs. You need 20min by car to the Old Town and also around 20min to leave the city and drive into the beautiful countryside. There are no bars or restaurant in walking distance. The nearest 7-11 is 800m away.

An Absolute Gem in Chiang Mai – A Magical Stay! This villa was hands-down one of the best places we've ever stayed. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond—anticipating our needs before we even had a chance to ask. They warmly welcomed us, whisked our luggage away to the villa, and made us feel right at home. When we stepped into our villa, we were greeted with a beautiful spread: a fresh fruit plate, hot tea, delicious cakes and snacks, and a fully stocked fridge with cold water, soft drinks (Coke and Fanta), and extra treats. A Nespresso machine was also ready to fuel our early-morning coffee cravings—such a thoughtful touch! The lobby also has a charming little coffee shop that officially opens at 8:30 am. Although no one was there when we passed by around 8:45, moments later they brought us a tray with fresh coffee and toast, without us even asking. That’s the kind of service you can expect—intuitive, generous, and kind. We only stayed one night, as we were leaving Chiang Mai the next day, but they still treated us like VIPs. The manager personally drove us to the airport and even offered to stop for lunch on the way. Before we left, they surprised us again with hot tea and cake—just one more thoughtful sendoff. The property itself is stunning. At night, the gardens are lit with colorful lanterns hanging from the trees, creating a dreamlike, enchanted atmosphere—especially in the rain. It honestly felt like we had stepped into a rainforest fairytale. We didn’t get to swim, but the pool looked absolutely magical, complete with fun floats for guests to use. I can’t recommend this place enough. We’re already planning to come back!

The staff/owner are absolutely incredible, rarely experienced something similar. The place is well maintained and the room spotless. The bed was confortable too. They have a laundry service which is perfect. The pool in a nice addition to the whole thing. Also, you get free coffee in the morning.

Big room, very clean and looks newly renovated. Love the generous daily supply of drinking water and complimentary mini bar. Staff is super nice and helpful
